The left ones 3.75 over and 30 degrees, the other is 5 over and 38 degrees. Both set up for cone shovels and disc brakes. We'll have some gas tanks up in the next few days.

Hello everybody in blog land. I wanna thank all our customers for being so patient these last few months on getting your parts and work done. Its a one man operation over here. Now that Im full time at the shop, things are getting faster and way more efficient every day. I will be bringing in a real live EMPLOYEE in January to help with a lot of the work. Hes a solid kid and sound fabricator,.

Mullins Chain Drive is something Ive been working at now for almost 7 years. In that time I have had little time to really finish out a bike of my own. The last one anybody probly saw was the beloved Tiny Dancer. Helping other people is as gratifying and maybe even moreso than building something for myself. Bringing the kid in will free up some time to finally build something for me and progress on more creepy parts that people dont even know they cant live without yet! Pretty excited.

Also you guys need to check out Scott Jones at Noise. T Bone was the first guy down in L.A., outside of the Sinners, that I linked up with years ago and Ive seen him progress from the awful red faux hawk hipster kid using way too much round rod on 70's ironheads, to a very well rounded fabricator. While Ive always been into meat, drugs, racism, and satan, Mr. Bone has been the exact opposite. Somehow weve stayed friends and incredibley I never got weird with Summer. T Bone is on his own now at his shop and I think he's going to do just fine. He always got to work about 2 hours before me in the old days and thats a true sign of a dedicated fool.

The Richmond Spool

So we've been waiting on these little guys to get done for quite a while now. Its basically a star hub designed to be run as a spool . No brake drum shoulder, designed for 3/4 axle, and we went ahead and used sealed cartridge bearings instead of those miserable needle bearings. With the little star covers on both sides, its a perfect solution for guys that run no front brake but want their hubs to match. Fits neatly between a set of legs with Mullins trees too. With the arrival of the new spools we will FINALLY have the new website up this week. Hubs and axles are in the store. Heres a few laced up on bikes around town....

With the motor mount plates installed you can see that the welder back in '48 must have got plenty of sleep the night before. Both the motor mounts and trans mounts measure plumb and true. With the headtube angle set, and wheel and drive line points dialed in, its time to pull the stock frame out of the fixture and bend some tubes.

We'll use a heavy wall 1.5" DOM for the lower loop, it will be doing twice the job of the 2 stock legs. Also the front motor mount will only be supported by this tube so its important to adjust for the added abuse. We'll have more flicks of Keith's Witch Finder later this week.

Its Begun

The first frames off the jig are made to stock HD specs. We start by setting the motor in a stock wishbone and correcting any OEM malfunctions in the geometry. Then Brandon will come in with the motor fixture and bosses for the frame tubes. In this flick you can see our friend and owner of the King Daddy Crow/Dethroned Tuck and Roll tank- Mr. Keith Parker's single loop knucklehead slowly transform. From factory to above satisfactory.

They grow on trees up here....

We rescued a long one a few months back. No big plans for it, just take off all the tacky new additions from the last owner and some new bars. The paint is still basically intact and the striping and leaf work is very nice. An original East Bay creeper.

San Leandro diggers were the mini trucks of their time. We're puttin the IRON back in the Ironic Chopper Scene.
